WE ARE HOMETOWN NEWS.

HUNTINGTON — Library Director Amanda Loiselle is ramping up special activities and club events at the Huntington Public Library at 7 E. Main St., and is looking for feedback for more ideas.

“Reach out. We’d love to hear from you,” Loiselle said. The library can be reached at 413-512-5206 or library@huntingtonma.us.

Weekly recurring events include drop-in painting on Wednesdays at 5 p.m., and story hours on Saturdays at 10:30 a.m.

On Teen Game Night, 4-7 p.m. Saturday, March 2, teens are invited for pizza, soda, and games. The library will have various games available, but teens ages 14 to 18 may feel free to bring their own.

On Wednesday, March 13, at 6 p.m., the library will feature a wine glass painting class for ages 21 and over. All materials are included at no charge.

On Saturday, March 23, at 11 a.m., librarygoers are invited to grab the grandkids and stop by the library for “Imagine That” with Davis Bates, a fun-filled morning of music and stories that celebrate literacy and inspire creativity. All ages are welcome.

In honor of spring, the Cookbook Club will start up on March 27 at 5 p.m. The library will have three copies of “Cooking in Season” by Brigit Binns available to borrow.

“Check one out or choose your own cookbook and recipe to share with the group and join us,” said Loiselle.

The Book Club pick for March is “Baby, You’re Gonna Be Mine: Stories by Kevin Wilson,” which will be discussed at the Book Club meeting on April 4 at 4:30 p.m.
